Crackdown begins against elements involved in corruption, irregularities, and illegal issuance of passports

A strict crackdown has been initiated from today following alarming reports of passports being wrongly issued to foreign nationals from the Passport Office’s public facilitation center.

Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Director General of Passports, immediately responded to these allegations by suspending the responsible individuals. Considering the seriousness of the situation, Randhawa has instructed the Zonal Head in Karachi to conduct a thorough investigation and present a comprehensive fact-based report without any delay.

Efforts are underway within the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports to enhance security and transparency in order to eliminate any irregularities in the passport processing and issuance system and to operate it without any errors.

This incident has raised serious concerns about the credibility of the passport issuance process, emphasizing the need for stronger measures to prevent corruption and malpractice. As the investigation progresses, authorities are committed to implementing necessary reforms to restore public trust.
