A high-level meeting chaired by Pakistan Muslim League-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif today focused on the current political and administrative situation of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In this meeting, Nawaz Sharif reiterated the party’s strong stance on the Kashmir issue, supporting the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people according to UN resolutions.
Nawaz Sharif highlighted the PML-N’s longstanding commitment to the constitutional and fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people. He expressed concern over the current political environment in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the use of all resources for the welfare of the residents.
The PML-N leader stressed the importance of cooperation with democratic institutions, emphasizing the need for unity among Pakistanis. He stated that Pakistan has always considered the struggle of the Kashmiris as aligned with its national interests.
In a call to action, Nawaz Sharif appealed to the people of Azad Kashmir to maintain peace and foster their ideological ties with Pakistan. He supported the end of protests and constructive dialogue.
Reflecting on recent developments, Nawaz Sharif appreciated the significant achievements of the Pakistani government and defense institutions despite challenging circumstances. He requested the promotion of brotherhood and tolerance in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, avoiding actions that could aid enemy forces.
Expressing sorrow over the recent tragic events in Azad Kashmir, he lamented the loss of lives and offered prayers for the affected, appealing for a focus on unity and peaceful resolution.
