Collision between scooter and rickshaw in Toba Tek Singh, 2 young children dead, 6 people injured

An accident on Kheikha Bangla Road claimed the lives of two children and injured six other people when a scooter collided with a rickshaw near Chak 347 GB.

According to initial reports, the tragic incident occurred today when the scooter’s brakes allegedly failed and it collided with an oncoming rickshaw. Two young boys on the scooter, 13-year-old Haroon Tahir and 12-year-old Bilal, were heading from Toba Tek Singh to Chak 347 GB, while the rickshaw was carrying passengers from Pirmahal to Jhang.

Haroon Tahir succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while despite efforts to save him, Bilal passed away at DHQ Hospital.

Six passengers in the rickshaw, including women and children, were injured. Rescue 1122 personnel promptly provided medical assistance and transferred the injured to DHQ Hospital Toba Tek Singh for further treatment.

Authorities, including local police, have started investigating the circumstances of the accident to determine the exact cause and any potential liability.
