Group conflict over plot ownership in Khairpur, young man killed by gunfire, relatives stage sit-in

A violent dispute over land ownership between two tribal groups near Khairpur tragically resulted in the death of a young man today, leading to intense protests for justice.

This conflict took place near the shrine of Long Faqir in Saeed Khan Lako village, within the jurisdiction of Shah Abdul Latif Police Station. Members of the Dhareja and Bhambro tribes clashed, using bricks, sticks, and firearms. The violence escalated and Gulam Muhammad Bhambro of the Bhambro tribe was killed instantly.

Following this tragedy, the deceased’s family members, including both men and women, staged a sit-in at the door of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur’s office, placing his body there.

The grieving relatives strongly condemned the incident, claiming that Gulam Muhammad was unjustly shot and killed. They demanded the filing of a murder FIR, urging authorities to arrest the perpetrators and deliver justice.

Despite the severity of the situation, the police have yet to register any formal case regarding this incident.
