A worker died in Okara during excavation due to a landslide, another in critical condition

A tragic incident occurred today near the Grain Warehouse on 36 Couple Road, where two workers were buried under a pile of soil during sewer excavation. This unfortunate incident happened during a development project organized by the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA).

The debris suddenly fell, burying the workers under the pile of soil. Emergency services, along with local law enforcement agencies, promptly arrived at the scene to take action.

Despite their immediate efforts, one worker was declared dead on the spot. The other individual was found alive but injured and was transferred to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the debris collapse.
