Bugti Says Counterterrorism Campaign Enters Decisive Phase

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said on Wednesday that the campaign against terrorism had entered a decisive phase, pledging that the provincial government would continue its efforts to eliminate militant groups and protect the people of Balochistan.

Speaking to reporters during a visit to Ziarat, Bugti said the people of Balochistan had united against terrorism and reaffirmed the government’s determination to confront those responsible for violence in the province.

He said the security situation remained challenging but stressed that the government would not retreat from its responsibilities. Bugti added that he would personally reach out to any Baloch citizen facing hardship.

The chief minister praised the police personnel who lost their lives in the recent attack, saying they had fought bravely until their last breath. He said the provincial government would assume responsibility for the education, welfare and future of the children of the fallen officers.

During his visit, Bugti travelled without a bulletproof vehicle, underscoring his resolve to stand alongside the people and continue the fight against those he described as enemies of the country.
