Provincial Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Muhammad Ali Malkani conducted a detailed inspection of veterinary hospitals in Malir today.
During his visit to the Malir-15 Veterinary Hospital, he reviewed the attendance and presence of doctors, inspected the stock of medicines and animal ultrasound equipment, and issued instructions to the staff regarding the provision of quality veterinary care. During his visit to the Bhains Colony Veterinary Hospital, the Provincial Minister received a briefing on the strength of the medical and support staff.
He instructed the doctors that, as the area was home to a large community of cattle farmers, it was their responsibility to remain fully informed about animal diseases and ensure the provision of proper treatment. Later, he met cattle farmers at the Asif Musa Cattle Farm in Bhains Colony to hear their concerns.
The farmers highlighted several issues, including the rising cost of animal fodder. Director of Animal Husbandry Naubat Khan Khoso and Animal Husbandry Department staff member Muhammad Imran also accompanied the Provincial Minister during the visit.
