Flour mill sealed, wheat seized in Mirpur Khas for hoarding

During a significant operation in Mughal-e-Azam Town, the Assistant Commissioner of Mirpur Khas today took decisive action against illegal wheat hoarding by sealing a flour mill after receiving a tip-off. During the raid, approximately 800 bags of wheat were recovered, each weighing 50 kilograms, totaling 40 tons of stored grain. The presence of the Food Inspector confirmed that the mill was not registered with the Food Department, rendering the extensive wheat storage illegal. Representatives from the Food Department were present during the operation, and further legal action has been directed.

In a related development, the Assistant Commissioner inspected government land near SRTC on Khipro Main Road on the orders of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, which was being illegally occupied. A strict warning was issued to vacate the place within two days; otherwise, forced eviction and legal measures will be taken.
