A severely injured robber in the Awami Colony police encounter died during treatment in the hospital,

The Awami Colony police exchanged fire with robbers near Korangi Murtaza Chowrangi on the night of May 11, resulting in a suspect being critically injured.

At approximately 10:30 PM, law enforcement officers encountered a group of alleged criminals. During the exchange of fire, a suspect, Umar Bakhsh, sustained serious injuries. Authorities arrested another suspect with Bakhsh, identified as Zahid.

After the exchange of fire, police recovered a 9mm pistol, a TT pistol, and a motorcycle from the suspects’ possession. The injured Umar Bakhsh was swiftly transferred to a medical facility for immediate treatment.

Despite medical aid, Bakhsh succumbed to his injuries five days later. This incident highlights the challenges law enforcement faces in curbing criminal activities in the area.

Police are continuing the investigation into the incident and intend to dismantle such criminal networks involved in these crimes.
