AAC condoles demise of several personalities in IIOJK 

Srinagar, January 29, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of many important and leading individuals and personalities associated with the organisation, movement and society. Among the deceased personalities are Bar Association General Secretary Advocate Muhammad Ashraf Butt’s younger and talented son Advocate Basit Ashraf Butt; spouse of Haji Abdul Rehman Sarwal, spouse of the late Noor Muhammad Bakshi and Bashir Ahmad Sofi.

The AAC in a statement on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooqj, who continues to be under house arrest since 5 August 2019, has expressed condolence with all the bereaved families and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to all the departed souls. The organization, while sympathising with Advocate Muhammad Ashraf Butt, Muhammad Ashraf Bakshi, Abdul Majeed Bakshi, Gulzar Ahmed Dar, Ghulam Muhammad Sufi, Muhammad Maqbool Sufi and Sarwal and Deen families of Islamabad said it stands with them in this moment of grief.

It prayed to Allah Almighty for the patience, courage and steadfastness of the bereaved families, as well as elevation of the ranks of the departed souls. Several delegations of the organisation, which include Nazir Ahmad Sufi, Ghulam Jeelani Lankar, Haji Bashir Ahmed Peerzada, and Moulana M S Rehman Shams visited the houses of the deceased and participated in the condolence and Fateha prayer meetings. They also paid tributes to the departed souls.

Meanwhile, the Awami Action Committee has prayed for the speedy recovery of Bazm Ahl-e-Hadeeth Jammu and Kashmir president and renowned religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Mubarak Mubarki and expressed good wishes on behalf of the AAC leadership.
