AAC pays rich tributes to Yousuf Buch

Srinagar, May 28, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Awami Action Committee (AAC), headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has paid rich tributes to prominent Kashmir intellectual, Ambassador Muhammad Yousuf Buch, who passed away in New York, a few days ago.

The ACC held a condolence meeting at its headquarters at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal, in Srinagar said that Ambassador Buch was a close aide of Muhajir-e-Milat, Mufasir-e-Quran Maulana Muhammad Yousuf Shah (RA). It said, the deceased played a pivotal role towards the Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination and deserved richest tributes for his great contributions that will always be remembered.

The AAC said that the deceased studied in the historic Anjuman-e-Nusratul Islam School and in 1953, he was sent to exile for speaking truth and pioneering peoples’ cause. It said that Ambassador Buch was later appointed as the Advisor of Muhajiir-e-Milat in Azad Kashmir when Maulana Muhammad Yousuf Shah (RA) was president of AJK. It said that the departed soul also remained an advisor to the UN Secretary General for 18 long years. Later, funeral in absentia was also offered in favour of deceased Buch at historic Jamia Masjid.
