AC New Sukkur’s early morning visit to the vegetable and fruit market, auction reviewed

The district administration has issued a stern warning against illegal profiteering and unjustified price hikes in the city’s vegetable market, vowing strict action against those selling vegetables and fruits at exorbitant rates. The announcement came today following a surprise inspection of the auction process at the market by AC New Sukkur.

Assistant Commissioner New Sukkur, Bushra Mansoor, made a surprise visit to the main vegetable and fruit market on Shikarpur Road early in the morning.

The primary objective of the inspection was to ensure transparency in the market. The Assistant Commissioner closely examined the bidding procedure, price-setting mechanisms, and the overall supply system of the produce.

During her assessment, Ms. Bushra Mansoor directed the commission agents to ensure the provision of vegetables and fruits to the public at fair and affordable rates, stating that illegal profiteering will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

She stressed that the district administration’s top priority is to provide relief to the citizens. Consequently, any violation of the official price list or unjustified price hikes will have serious consequences.

The official clarified that any complaints received from the public regarding produce being sold at excessively high prices will be met with immediate disciplinary action.
