The President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Junaid Naqi, met with the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al-Rumiti, to discuss the promotion of bilateral trade and business transparency between Pakistan and the UAE.

During the meeting here Wednesday, both leaders emphasized the need to further enhance the existing economic cooperation. Junaid Naqi spoke about the necessity of promoting formal trade channels to ensure transparency in financial transactions and to boost investor confidence.

Junaid Naqi stated that increasing the trade volume between Pakistan and the UAE is possible, but it requires the business community to operate according to codes of conduct and international standards. He urged Pakistani traders to use formal channels to improve Pakistan’s image on an international level.

Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al-Rumiti assured the Pakistani business community that the UAE is ready to cooperate with Pakistani investors. He highlighted the importance of establishing a regular and transparent trade framework between the two countries.

It was agreed in the meeting that new opportunities to enhance trade will be explored, trade delegations will be exchanged, and joint trade events will be organized to give new dimensions to mutual economic relations.
