Ali Nawaz Awan visits Ehsaas Emergency Centre, also checked Money Transfer System

Islamabad, April 20, 2020 (PPI-OT): Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Capital Development Authority, Ali Nawaz Awan has said that Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme is one of the biggest relief package for the poor in the country’s history. He expressed these views during a visit to Ehsaas Emergency Cash Centres in Sohan on Monday. He checked process of money transfer. He added that purpose of the visit us to solve the issues faced by people regarding this programme.

 

He thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for helping poor in such critical time. Ali Nawaz Awan said under this programme, 144 billion rupees are being distributed among 12.5 million families. He said the people are given financial assistance and the programme is transparent through digital system. Ali Nawaz Awan praised Jamal Butt, a volunteer from the Corona Relief Tiger Force, who helped in getting arrested a group who were having commission under the Emergency Cash Program.

 

He said that it is important to note that eligible people under this programme should not pay commission to anyone. Last week Ali Nawaz Awan visited centers on complains of lack of centers set up to distribute funds to eligible people under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s emergency cash program. After solving the problems, all centers in Islamabad are active now. All centers are fully functional. SAPM said that only today, around Rs. 10.6215 million has been distributed.
