SUKKUR:Police on Monday claimed to have killed an alleged criminal and recovered arms from his possession in an encounter near Sukkur.
The police said that the encounter took place with the four criminals during patrolling within the limits of Jhangro police station. They said after an encounter for some time, one alleged criminal was killed and three of his accomplices managed to flee.
The police claimed that the criminals were standing with the intention to commit crime, but they foiled their bid with successful encounter. The body of the criminal was shifted to a local hospital for an autopsy. The police have started search for the fleeing criminals. No case could be lodged till filing this report.
