KARACHI: Pakistani jewels market Tuesday witnessed another high jump of gold prices as the price of 24-karat gold has surged by Rs5,000 per tola.
According to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24 karats of pure gold reached Rs2,14,500 per tola on Tuesday.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs4,288 to Rs1,83,900 per 10 grams in the Pakistani jewellery market.
While the rates of 22 karats gold have also increased in the local market and it was traded at Rs1,68,575 per 10-gram.
In the international market, the price of yellow metal also increased by US$12 to US$1,982 per ounce on Tuesday.
The rates of 24 karats fine silver also increased by Rs100 per tola and traded at Rs2,450 per tola while the 22 karats silver prices increased by Rs86.74 to Rs2,100 per 10 grams.
