Islamabad, April 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has said that the exercise being carried out in the name of Indian parliamentary elections in occupied Kashmir is illegal, immoral and in contravention to the resolutions of the United Nations.
This was observed at the APHC-AJK meeting in Islamabad with its Convener, Syed Abdullah Gilani, in the chair. The participants said that the people of Kashmir had always rejected the Indian election drama and New Delhi was once again holding the drama in the territory in the name of parliamentary elections.
The APHC-AJK said that the UN had already declared such polls as illegal, as these elections could not be an alternative to the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people. The meeting prayed for the Kashmiri martyrs, on the occasion.
Those who attended the meeting included Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Abdul Majeed Mir, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Nisar Mirza, Abdul Majeed Malik, Ishtiaq Hameed, Adeel Mushtaq Wani, Nazir Karnai, Shaikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Raja Khadim Hussain, Advocate Pervez Ahmed, Sultan Butt, Syed Kifayat Rizvi, Shamim Shawl, Abdul Hameed Lone, Javaid Iqbal Butt, Imtiaz Wani and Shaikh Abdul Mateen.
