APHC Denounces Modi Government’s Actions in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as a brutal crackdown by Indian forces in the region known as Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The APHC criticized the comprehensive military actions including cordon and search operations, raids, and the suppression of religious freedoms.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, detailed these grievances in a statement, highlighting the prohibition of Eid-ul-Azha prayers at Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid and Eidgah as a stark infringement on religious liberties. Minhas characterized these actions as part of the Hindutva BJP/RSS regime’s broader assault on the rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people, underlining the severe impact of such policies on the local population.

The statement further outlined the severe conditions in IIOJK, describing cities, towns, and villages as heavily militarized zones where Indian troops are accused of committing extensive violations against residents, particularly targeting the youth. The APHC views these actions as an aggressive campaign of political vengeance against the Kashmiri resistance to Indian rule.
