RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) informed on Wednesday that 140 Army helicopter sorties have been conducted in flood affected areas of the country for rescue and relief operation.
According to the statement issued by military’s media affairs wing, more than 550 stranded individuals evacuated through Army helicopters from various flood affected areas. Army helicopter delivered 29 tons of ration and relief items during last 24 hours while 6140 ration packets and 325 tents distribution among flood affectees all across the county during last 24 hours.
The 5213 patients have been treated so for in various medical camps. The 224 relief items collection points are functional in formations area of responsibility for collection and onwards distribution of relief stores.
