Babar Azam prays for Covid-19 hit India

KARACHI: Pakistan cricket team skipper Babar Azam has prayed for India, which is facing crisis amid the surging Covid-19 third wave.

“Prayers with the people of India in these catastrophic times,” Babar tweeted. “It’s time to show solidarity and pray together.”

“I also request all the people out there to strictly follow SOPs, as it’s for our safety only. Together we can do it,” he said.

Meanwhile, former pace star Shoaib Akhtar has also prayed for India and has asked the cricket boards of India and Pakistan to postpone ongoing Indian Premier League and resumption of Pakistan Super League in June. He said that it was time to save lives and not cricket.
