QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, while taking notice of the flood situation in Oruki area of district Lasbela in Balochistan province, directed the authorities concerned to conduct aerial rescue operation to save people stranded in flood water, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Tuesday.

Till the commencement of aerial operation to rescue people stranded in the flood triggered by the recent downpours, Bizenjo directed the concerned authorities to take necessary steps for ensuring provision of edible items and pure drinking water to the flood affected people. On the other hand, sources of Civil Aviation said, “Bad weather halts rescue operation in Oraki area of district Lasbela and aerial operation will be commenced soon after weather gets improved”.
