Balochistan government has declared summer vacations for schools across the province amidst soaring temperatures, the Education Department announced on Sunday.
The summer holidays, aimed at mitigating the effects of scorching heatwaves, will span from May 15 to July 31 in areas prone to extreme temperatures, with educational activities set to resume from August 1, 2024.
In colder regions, a 10-day vacation will be observed from July 22 to July 31. This announcement follows the recent declaration by the provincial education minister of Punjab regarding the summer vacation schedule for schools and colleges.
According to the education minister, summer holidays in Punjab will commence on June 7, 2024, and conclude on August 19, 2024. The measures underscore the authorities’ commitment to safeguarding the well-being of students amid varying climatic conditions across the region.
