QUETTA:The provincial government has constituted Balochistan PPP Board to approve the final cost of the projects and contractual and financial arrangements including any subsidies or concessions.
A notification issued on Monday says, “The Government of Balochistan, Planning and Development Department is pleased to constitute Balochistan PPP Board as per Article 5 of Balochistan Public Private Partnership Act of 2018.”
The Board shall comprise the following: Chief Minister Balochistan, Chairman; Minister, Planning and Development Department, member; Minister Finance Department, member; two members of the Provincial Assembly (nominated by the Speaker), members; Chief Secretary, Balochistan, member; Additional Chief Secretary (Dev), member; Secretary Finance Department, Government of Balochistan, member and Managing Director, PPP Unit, member/ Secretary.
The notification further says, “The Board shall approve the final cost of the projects, contractual and financial arrangements including any subsidies or concessions etc. The PPP Board may amend, if deemed necessary, the “First Schedule” of Balochistan PPP Act, 2018.
