Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind assured that anti-state elements aiming to disrupt the province’s development will not succeed.
Speaking at a news conference alongside other officials here today, Rind emphasized the government’s readiness to engage with all stakeholders, highlighting ongoing dialogue with Sardar Akhtar Mengal concerning the Mastung sit-in.
Rind addressed security concerns, noting that internet and cellular services in Quetta have been suspended due to threats. The decision follows violent incidents during a protest by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, where demonstrators reportedly set fire to police vehicles and vandalized public property.
DIG CTD Aitzaz Goraya pointed out that the committee is not officially recognized and accused it of spreading propaganda on social media platforms against state institutions.
