Bilawal says Imran Khan committed suicide attack on Pak economy

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the nation is facing a result of the suicide attack of former premier Imran Khan on the country’s economy.

He was addressing a session on ‘Climate Change and Floods in Pakistan’ on the last day of the two-day Asma Jahangir Conference at a hotel in Lahore. The PPP chairman said they sent the prime minister who came in an undemocratic manner home democratically.

Bilawal Bhutto said a democratic way to remove a prime minister is only to move a no-confidence against him in the parliament. He said his coalition government in the center has saved Pakistan from bankruptcy, adding that the country’s political history has gone through many ups and downs.

Bilawal declared Asma Jahangir a role model for human rights activists and lawyers. He emphasized bringing the situation of flood victims before the nation. PPP Senator Raza Rabbani, PTI Senator Syed Ali Zafar, PPP’s Dr Nafisa Shah, PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other prominent figures of the country also addressed the conference.
