In a significant initiative to promote constructive engagement among youth, the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh, organized a bilingual literary session on Sunday aimed at attracting young people towards positive activities and providing a platform for them to express their artistic talents.

The department organized a dignified mushaira at the Sindh Youth Club, featuring both renowned and emerging poets from Urdu and Sindhi literature. The event was a testament to the region’s rich cultural heritage and the government’s commitment to youth development through the arts.

The prestigious event was presided over by the renowned poet Anwar Shaoor. The gathering was further graced by the presence of distinguished Sindhi literary figures Adal Soomro, Atique Jilani, Saanbhiyan Saanghi, and Masroor Peerzado, who participated as special guests.

A spokesperson for the Department of Youth Affairs stated that during the session, more than 10 young poets presented their work. The audience highly appreciated the poetry and applauded generously, reflecting the emerging talent within the province.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director Syed Habibullah emphasized the importance of such cultural programs. He stated that these literary events are vital for guiding youth towards beneficial pastimes and providing them with an opportunity to express their creative talents.

The event concluded with the presentation of honorary shields to the participating poets in recognition of their contributions. After the formal proceedings, a dinner was arranged for all attendees.

Several officers from the Department of Youth Affairs, Sindh, were also present on the occasion, including Assistant Directors Farid Ali, Moiz Ahmed, and Rizwan Ahmed, along with DSOs Ismail Shah, Muhammad Usman, Shakeel Ahmed, and Sunny Pervez.
