QUETTA: Sain Safiullah Khan Kakar, provincial leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Balochistan has called on authorities to release fund to B-WASA immediately, so that monthly salaries to the employees of B-WASA could be paid besides ensuring the payment of pensions to the retired employees of WASA.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that employees of Balochistan-Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) have been deprived of their salaries for the last two months, adding retired employees and heirs of deceased employees of B-WASA have been deprived of gratuity for the last one year.
He said that it is not known as to why “overtime” fixed for the employees of B-WASA has been freezed. He added that employees of B-WASA may not be compelled to take to the roads for the release of their salaries and redressal of other grievances as their strike would surely disrupt the supply of pure drinking water to the residents of Quetta city.
He called on Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili and other concerned authorities to release funds to Balochistan WASA so that monthly salaries to the employees of B-WASA could be paid besides ensuring payment of pensions to the retired employees of WASA.
