The Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) has threatened to organize public protests, alleging that a case filed against 80 young workers in Sanghar is an act of “political revenge” by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Sardar Abdul Rahim, Secretary-General of the Muslim League Functional Sindh, today strongly condemned the legal action, which targets members of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF), including its Sindh President Mohsin Qadir Hingoro.

He demanded the immediate withdrawal of the charges, which he described as “false and fabricated,” stating that the case is an act of revenge against political opponents.

The controversy reportedly stemmed from a “historic and peaceful reception” held at Bachu Badshah Chowk to welcome Syed Muhammad Rashid Shah Rashidi, which Rahim claimed “the opponents could not tolerate.”

The Functional League official accused elements affiliated with the PPP of deliberately trying to disrupt the law and order situation in Sanghar, which he described as a “stronghold of the Hur Jamaat” and “an ever-peaceful area.”

Rahim stressed that “false cases are being filed against innocent and respectable citizens” under political pressure.

He defended the accused, saying, “The youth of the Hur Jamaat, following the clear instructions of Pir Sahib Pagara, never take the law into their own hands.”

“The police should be prevented from being used as a tool for political revenge,” he said, warning that any attempt to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the region is “unacceptable.”

Sardar Abdul Rahim concluded by affirming that the Muslim League Functional “reserves the right to public protest” if the authorities do not withdraw the case.
