PN: (Pakistan Navy continues relief activities in wake of coronavirus spread)

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Navy continues its relief activities across the country in the wake of coronavirus spread. According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, ration was distributed in the towns and villages along the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan.

Besides Karachi, ration was also given to thousands of needy families in different districts of Punjab, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Muzaffargarh. Medical kits and other protective equipment were also provided to different hospitals. The spokesperson said Pakistan Navy is assisted by philanthropists and organizations in the relief activities.

GB: (GB Govt announces complete lockdown for two days)

ISLAMABAD:In Gilgit-Baltistan, the government has announced complete lockdown from 11 am to 3 pm today (Thursday) and Friday.

Advisor to Chief Minister on Information, Shams Mir talking to news men in Gilgit said that nobody will be allowed to come out from the home in the lockdown. He warned of strict action against the violators.

AJK: (AJK President terms new domicile law in IOJK as serious war crime)

ISLAMABAD:AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has termed the new domicile law imposed by India’s fanatic government in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as a serious war crime.

In a video message on Thursday, he said fascist domicile laws violate the Fourth Geneva Convention and the UN Security Council resolutions on Kashmir and constitute a serious war crime and a crime against humanity. He said the motive is to reduce Muslims to a minority, to grab their jobs and lands, and to turn the territory into an Indian colony.

He said the Kashmiri people spurn these illegal laws, and urge the United Nations, the UN Human Right Council and the International Committee of the Red Cross to call out India for this serious breach of international humanitarian law, and take steps to reverse and quash these unlawful laws.

PM: (Lockdown will be eased after seeking inputs from provinces on April 14: PM)

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that decision about easing the countrywide lockdown will be taken after seeking inputs from all the provinces on April 14.

Talking to members of Balochistan’s Provincial Cabinet and Parliaments in Quetta on Thursday, he said federal and provincial governments are working in cohesion to cope with the situation arising out of Covid-19.

The Prime Minister said that National Command and Control Center is minutely observing the Coronavirus situation across the country. He expressed fear that hospitals will face immense pressure due to likely surge in Corona cases by the end of this month. He urged the nation to demonstrate unity to mitigate adverse impacts of Coronavirus.

Weather: (Rain expected in different parts of country)

ISLAMABAD:According to Met Office, rain wind-thunderstorm with hailstorm at a few places is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab and Islamabad during the next twelve hours.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Thursday morning: Islamabad thirteen degree centigrade, Karachi twenty-four, Lahore nineteen, Peshawar fifteen, Murree eight, Quetta, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad twelve degree centigrade.

Minister: (No compromise on ongoing accountability process: Murad Saeed)

ISLAMABAD:Minister for Communications and Postal Services, Murad Saeed has said that the government will not compromise the ongoing accountability process as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been mandated for it.

Talking to a private news channel, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan will not spare any mafia as he strongly believes in accountability without any discrimination.

Murad Saeed said the Prime Minister has also set a trend that accountability will be for everyone because no one is above the law. Replying to a question, he said prices of sugar and wheat were also increased in the past, but no one had shown the courage to investigate and publish any kind of report in this connection.

Report: (IFJ, SAMSN call for Indian Govt to immediately restore all communications in IOJ and K)

ISLAMABAD:A group of 37 national media unions from South Asia as well as global media advocacy and freedom of expression organizations have called for an end to the ongoing communications blockade in Indian occupied Kashmir.

According to reports, the International Federation of Journalists and the South Asia Media Solidarity Network together called for the Indian government to immediately restore all communications to held Valley.
