Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with Michael Opagi, Manager of World Bank PPP Advisory, here at the CDA Headquarters on Thursday

The meeting was also attended by CDA Board members and other senior officers. According to details, the meeting focused on enhancing mutual cooperation in various sectors and discussed the initiation of water related projects as well as and others.

Chairman CDA stated that CDA is ready to work under Public-Private Partnership for various projects. He emphasized the need for immediate action for better supply of water.

He mentioned that the World Bank needs to provide technical assistance and consultancy for various projects. He expressed a desire to ensure the provision of the best facilities and public service delivery for the citizens of Islamabad.

During the meeting, it was agreed to work on water related priority projects and their tangible deliverables with timelines for the city of Islamabad. Michael Opagi appreciated the efforts made by CDA for better services to the citizens of Islamabad.

Chairman CDA reiterated that, with the cooperation of the World Bank, they aim to expand the scope of providing facilities and services for the citizens of Islamabad.

He added that CDA and the World Bank would ensure the provision of services to Islamabad’s residents at their doorstep. He further emphasized that CDA will make full use of the World Bank’s technical capabilities, consultancy, and experience.
