According to the President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce, economic cooperation between Pakistan and China is moving into a significant new chapter, with the involvement of the private sector in the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) being a strategic pivot.
The development comes after a landmark visit by Chinese Consul General Sun Yan to LCCI on Wednesday.
Discussions during the engagement concentrated on the advancement of the information technology, agriculture, mineral resources, and industrial sectors.
Mr Sun Yan described the visit as significant for paving the way for business-to-business (B2B) meetings and the formation of joint ventures with private enterprises, heralding a new era for the bilateral partnership in key economic domains.
