Authorities in the federal capital have apprehended 11 individuals, including eight found in possession of a significant cache of illegal weaponry, as part of a comprehensive security operation aimed at curbing criminal activity.

According to a police report today, during targeted actions, police units from the Aabpara, Secretariat, Tarnol, Industrial Area, Noon, Kirpa, and Lohi Bher stations detained eight accused and recovered 11 pistols complete with ammunition.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the nabbed suspects, with further investigations currently underway. In a separate component of the crackdown focusing on fugitives, law enforcement also took three proclaimed offenders into custody.

SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, affirmed that the police force is persistently working to safeguard the lives and property of the city”s residents. He stressed that no individual would be allowed to disrupt the peace and that the security of citizens remains the foremost priority for the Islamabad Police.

The SSP urged the public to report any suspicious activity immediately to the relevant police station or via the emergency helpline Pucar-15, highlighting that mutual cooperation between the community and law enforcement is essential to making the city crime-free.
