CM assures anti-dacoit operation in riverine areas

LARKANA:Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said Wednesday that operation against the bandits would be carried out in katcha area of Shikarpur, Kashmore, Kandhkot and Ghotki districts and if needed, assistance would be sought from other security organization.

Some of the bandits are carrying out criminal activities in the riverine areas while the heirs of martyred policemen must be assured that the fugitives of law will reach their ultimate fate, he said while talking to media in Shikarpur. He said criminals would use people living in the riverine areas as their shields, hence, they would be rescued before the launch of the operation.

Shah offered condolences with the families of martyred policemen Munawar Jatoi, Abdul Khalique Solangi and photographer Abdul Haseeb Shaikh. He directed AIGP Sukkur and DIG Larkana to take care of the children of martyred policemen, adding if their children were getting education, then they would be extended all help to ensure that they completed their education.

He said the son of the APC driver was getting medical education at a medical college. He assured him that he would become a doctor in future. He said employment would be given to the son of Munawar Jatoi after he completed his education.

He said Shikarpur police is a brave force and heirs of the martyred police men should believe that criminals would be taken to task. Shah said in reply to a question that Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid should visit Shikarpur after Karachi as he had heard of his arrival in Sindh only through social media, but not officially. Earlier, the chief minister laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhda at SSP Shikarpur office and then he was briefed about the law and order situation.

IGP Sindh Mushtaque Mahar said that Sindh police carried out operation successfully against terrorists, dacoits, and thieves while other offenders would soon be eliminated as well. He saluted the sacrifices rendered by the martyred and wounded policemen and their heirs. AIGP Sukkur and Larkana Region, Kamran Fazal, DIGP Larkana Nasir Aftab Pathan, DIGP Sukkur Fida Hussain Mastoi and other police officers were also present on the occasion.
