Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail has ordered an immediate and indiscriminate operation against illegal encroachments on public places, footpaths, and roads. He directed the district authorities today to continue the crackdown without any exception to reduce the difficulties of the public and to take legal action against the violators.

The Commissioner gave this directive during a visit to inspect public facilities in Haveli Lakha and Basirpur, where he visited the Municipal Committee office. He was given a detailed briefing on the city’s beautification project, the current sanitation system, and the progress of ongoing and proposed development schemes.

Dr. Asif Tufail also issued instructions to improve the municipality’s sanitation system and demanded more effective daily cleaning of all roads, streets, markets, and important places. He emphasized the need for significant improvements in the local waste management infrastructure.

In addition to municipal services, the Commissioner’s visit also included a review of medical facilities at Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) hospitals. He said that providing the best municipal and health services to the public is the top priority, which is in line with the Chief Minister’s vision of good governance.

At the end of his visit, Dr. Asif Tufail directed the administrative officers to regularly monitor all matters of public services and to take immediate action against any official found guilty of negligence.
