Committees formed for lingering schemes

Quetta: Planning and Development Department, government of Balochistan, has constituted four committees to scrutinize uncompleted ongoing development schemes pending for completion since 1997 and up to 2017 for suggesting way forward/ solution to either continue with or close these PSDSP schemes.

A notification issued by Planning and Development Department, Government of Balochistan says, “With prior approval of the Competent Authority, the following Committees are hereby constituted to scrutinize uncompleted on-going development schemes pending for completion since 1997 and up-to 2017 for suggesting way forward/ solution to either continue with or close these PSDP schemes pertaining to the sectors mentioned against each:

(A) 1. Joint Chief Economist (Infrastructure) Chairman (pertaining to Infrastructure Schemes). 2. Concerned Chief of Section, Member 3. Assistant Engineer / Executive Engineer concerned Planning and Development Department.

(B) 1. Joint Chief Economist (Production), Chairman (Pertaining to Production Schemes) 2. Concerned Chief of Section, Member. 3. Assistant Engineer / Executive Engineer concerned, Planning and Development Department.

(C) 1. Joint Chief Economist (Social Sector), Chairman (Pertaining to Social Sector Schemes). 2. Concerned Chief of Section, Member. 3. Assistant Engineer / Executive Engineer concerned, Planning and Development Department.

(D) Director General (Monitoring and Evaluation), Chairman (Miscellaneous Projects). 2. Concerned Chief of Section, Member. 3. Assistant Engineer / Executive Engineer concerned, Planning and Development Department.

It further says, “The Committee / Team may review the schemes to assess and suggest for their closure or continuation by taking into consideration the importance of the schemes. Report may be submitted within 04 days time.”
