Crackdown On Illegal LPG Operations In Peshawar

Authorities clamped down on illicit liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) businesses in Peshawar. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) enforcement team, alongside the district administration, targeted establishments engaged in unsafe practices.

The operation focused on vendors decanting and filling LPG into public service vehicles, unlicensed “dabba” stations, and unauthorized auto-refueling facilities. Six LPG shops, one illegal auto-refueling station, and a “dabba” station were shut down. Decanting apparatus was also seized.

Furthermore, combined reviews of LPG storage sites, retail outlets, and compressed natural gas (CNG) stations were undertaken to ascertain adherence to safety regulations. OGRA and district officials pledged to enhance cooperative efforts and maintain stringent measures against offenders to ensure public safety.
