Crimes – 2 suspects involved in visa fraud and human smuggling arrested from Faisalabad

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Sunday morning arrested two individuals, including a proclaimed offender, in a major visa fraud case for allegedly extorting Rs 1,150,000 from citizens on the false promise of employment in Oman.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Muhammad Faisal and Naeem Farooq, of whom Naeem Farooq had already been declared a proclaimed offender. Both suspects are accused of being involved in human smuggling and visa-related fraud.

According to the allegations, the duo extorted a hefty amount of money from several individuals by promising to facilitate travel and employment in the Sultanate of Oman. It is reported that after receiving the money, the suspects absconded and went into hiding.

These arrests are part of the ongoing intense crackdown by the FIA Faisalabad Division against networks involved in human smuggling and illegal immigration schemes.
