MASTUNG:Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Quetta on Monday claimed to have foiled a terrorism plot by killing five terrorists in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) conducted in Splinji area of district Mastung.
According to CTD Quetta spokesman’s statement, CTD Quetta got information from detained accused that some terrorists of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), who had planned to carry out a big attack in near future, were hiding in a house in Splinji area of district Mastung.
Having received the information, CTD team Quetta conducted an Intelligence Based Operation by challenging the terrorists to surrender, but the terrorists resorted to indiscriminate firing. In retaliation, CTD killed five alleged terrorists, however, some terrorists managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
Among the dead included Samiullah Pirkani, Jamil Ahmed Pirkani, Shah Nazar, Arif Marri and Yousaf Marri. CTD seized three Kalashinkoves, 100 live rounds, 10 kg explosive, three detonators, two explosive rods, two hand grenades, one remote control device and 13 battery cells.
The statement further says that the alleged terrorists were involved in carrying out grenade attack on labourers on Smungli Road, motorcycle IED attack on Azad Khan Marri at Hazar Ganji area of Quetta and hand grenade attack on law enforcement agencies in Quetta besides killing many innocent people of Balochistan.
