Deputy Chairman Senate emphasis on promotion of tourism, investment in Pakistan

Deputy Chairman Senate, Syedaal Khan, hosted a lunch here at the Parliament House Islamabad on Wednesday in honour of the members of the International Malam Jabba Advisory Board.

The event was graced by the presence of Lord Lancaster of Kimbleton, Dame Caroline Dinenage DBE MP, Lord Sarfraz of Kensington, and several members of the Senate.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chairman Senate discussed in detail the prospects for enhancing tourism, trade, investment, and optimal utilization of natural resources in Pakistan.

He said the formation of the International Advisory Board for Malam Jabba is not only a commendable initiative but also marks a new and promising chapter in the promotion of tourism in the northern regions of Pakistan.

Syedaal Khan highlighted that Pakistan’s northern areas are rich in natural beauty, mineral resources, and a strong tradition of hospitality.

He mentioned that with the support of the Advisory Board, not only can world-class skiing resorts be developed, but international tourists can also be provided with safe and high-quality facilities.

While shedding light on the investment sector, he noted that Pakistan offers immense opportunities for investment in agriculture, minerals, forestry, and other natural resources.

He said provinces such as Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possess vast potential for development, which, if harnessed, can strengthen both the local economy and contribute to national growth.

Members of the International Advisory Board expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Chairman Senate for his warm hospitality and reaffirmed their commitment to providing practical support for the promotion of tourism, trade, and investment in Pakistan.
