Srinagar, July 31, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has appealed to the justice-loving people across the globe to raise their voice against New Delhi’s attempts to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir and damage its disputed nature by using its judiciary.
The DFP General Secretary, Maulana Muhammad Abdullah Tari, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that challenging Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution was an open assault on the people of Jammu and Kashmir and was aimed at changing its demographic composition. He said Article 35-A is related to the state subject laws and once these laws are done away with, it will be disastrous for the entire population of Jammu and Kashmir.
Maulana Tari said the Kashmiri people are very sensitive about such laws which protect their identity, so New Delhi must not allow anybody to play with the sentiments of the Kashmiris. “New Delhi must be ready for the dire consequences if Article 35-A is even touched by its any institutions including judiciary,” he said.
He appealed to the sane voices in and outside India to understand the issue and come forward so that Jammu and Kashmir is saved from the Indian onslaught and the sentiments of the Kashmiris are respected.
