KARACHI: On the direction of Administrator District Municipal Corporation (DMC) East Syed Mohammad Ali Shah and Municipal Commissioner Shoaib Ahmad Malik, work is underway to improve local government services.
According to a statement issued by DMC East, with the improvement of the roads, the work of removing the silt from the debris is going on in DMC east. Under the supervision of Superintendent Engineer Mubeen Sheikh and Executive Engineer Imtiaz Bhutto regarding lighting of Eastern District at Chowrangi adjacent to New M.A Jinnah Road, TV Station Road, Alamgir Road, UC-17. Installation of new street lights, installation of street lights around Imambargah Ali Raza has been ensured.
The statement said that installation of street lights at various places in Eastern District is in progress. Superintending Engineer Civil has been directed to improve the condition of roads under the supervision of Azhar Hussain Shah and Executive Engineer Iqbal Ahmad Mallah, Salman-ur-Rehman Memon.
It stated that Sachal Goth UC-30 has been cleared of debris and soil and the area has been made clean. With the issuance of orders to various departments for the Eastern District, they are being appreciated at different levels for the services rendered by the local bodies within the available resources.
