Dozens of liquor distilleries demolished in Mirpurkhas, thousands of liters of raw liquor seized by police

Police, during a security campaign across the district, demolished 38 local liquor distilleries and seized over 90,000 liters of raw liquor. As a result of these operations, 38 suspects connected to the illegal distilleries were taken into custody.

SSP Syed Fida Hussain Shah stated today that during the week-long campaign against criminal elements, a total of 58 individuals were arrested and stolen and illegal goods worth Rs. 1,048,000 were recovered.

In separate operations against drug trafficking, law enforcement agencies detained five suspects. In these operations, 4 kilograms and 500 grams of hashish, as well as 74 bottles and pints of whiskey, were seized.

A crackdown on the sale of prohibited items like gutka resulted in the arrest of seven suspects. Authorities recovered a large quantity of the banned items, including 12 kg 300 grams of gutka, 4 kg 960 grams of safina gutka, 4 kg 800 grams of mainpuri, and 880 grams of other related products.

Actions were also taken against the possession of illegal weapons. Three cases were registered, resulting in the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation of three pistols and their ammunition.

SSP Syed Fida Hussain Shah reiterated the commitment that “indiscriminate operations will continue across the district to protect the lives and property of the public and to eliminate crime.” He added that all “law-breaking elements will be dealt with with an iron hand.”
