Dozens of Suspects, Foreign Nationals Detained in Major Capital Crackdown

Authorities have taken more than 70 suspects and four illegally residing foreign nationals into custody during extensive search and combing operations conducted across the federal capital.

According to a report Capital Police today, the security sweep, carried out under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, was initiated following special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to curb criminal activity.

During the city-wide initiative, law enforcement personnel scrutinised 1,175 individuals, 397 residences, 91 shops, and six hotels. Additionally, 138 motorcycles and 71 other vehicles were inspected, resulting in 13 motorcycles being impounded for further legal proceedings.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza stated that the primary objective of these security measures is to tighten the grip on criminal elements and bolster safety throughout the city.

He confirmed that similar operations are being conducted in various localities across the district as part of a continued, indiscriminate campaign against criminal syndicates, including land-grabbing mafias and drug peddlers.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious individuals or activities to their nearest police station or by calling the emergency helpline ‘Pucar-15’ immediately.
