SHIKARPUR: One person was killed and another injured in a road accident near Shikarpur on Monday.
A truck was standing on the road and its driver and cleaner were changing its tyre when a speeding coach hit them. As a result, the truck driver identified as Abdul Hameed Bhatti was crushed to death on the spot while cleaner Muhammad Ahsan Bhatti received serious injuries.
The body and injured were shifted to Taluka Hospital Lakhi for a postmortem examination and treatment, respectively. Later, the body was handed over to his heirs. The driver and cleaner were residents of Jhat Pat area of Balochistan province. Area police captured the passenger coach driver and took the ill-fated coach in their custody. No FIR was registered till late evening.
