ISLAMABAD:Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf on Tuesday said that country's development is interlinked with provision of modern education to women.
He said it has been the prime priority of incumbent government to provide modern facilities to women for easy access to higher education. He expressed these views while visiting Associate Degree College for Women, Manghot Gujar Khan. The Speaker said that being public representatives, providing education and basic health facilities to the people of Gujar Khan has been his chief goal.
He also expressed his resolve that Gujar Khan will be the hub of education as Potohar Campus Gujar Khan Rawalpindi will usher in new era of education revolution in Gujar Khan. He said the Parliament is committed to legislate for provision of best education and health facilities to the people. He said the country is on the path of development and the time is not far when the current government will be able to overcome the present crisis.
The Speaker said the problems of shortage of teachers faced by the college would be resolved. He also issued instruction to the concerned departments for immediate solution of gas and electricity problems faced by the Girls Degree College and other infrastructural issues.
Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed his satisfaction and happiness on the excellent academic results of women degree college Gujar Khan. He emphasized the need to take immediate steps to solve the travelling issues and provide travel facilities to all students. Principal Government Girls College Manghot Samia Nishat thanked Raja Pervez Ashraf for gracing the ceremony at college.
