SHIKARPUR:An elderly man was shot dead over a plot issue within the limit of Lakhi-Gate police station here in Shikarpur on Friday.
According to rescue sources, eight armed men belonging to Hindu community opened fire on Suleman Chang, aged 60 in Samadha Ashram area of Chang Muhalla in Shikarpur. As, as a result he died on the spot. The cause behind the murder was stated to be plot issue.
The area police shifted the body to RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur and later handed over to his heirs after completing necessary formalities.
Later, hundreds of angry male, female and children held a protest in front of Lakhi-Gate police station while keeping the body on the road. Neither FIR was registered, no any arrest could be made till late evening.
