Authorities in Thatta this morning arrested a notorious individual associated with drug sales and various criminal activities, including robbery and motorcycle snatching, following an exchange of fire. The suspect was arrested in an injured condition, and a pistol used in crimes was also recovered.
The incident occurred near Shah Murad Link Road, adjacent to Maza Juice Factory, where law enforcement officials engaged with the suspect. One individual was apprehended, who sustained injuries during the firing.
The arrested person has been identified as Mukhtiar alias Makhan, son of Ali Bakhsh Samo, a resident of Mohsin Muhalla, Thatta.
Initial police investigations reveal that the injured suspect was involved in various illegal activities, including the illicit trade of narcotics, armed robbery, and motorcycle snatching in Thatta, Makli, Gharo, and surrounding districts. A pistol, believed to have been used in these crimes, was also recovered from his possession.
Law enforcement agencies are verifying the complete criminal record of the arrested individual, while ongoing operations are underway to apprehend his accomplices who managed to evade arrest. The injured suspect has been shifted to a local medical facility for treatment.
