Srinagar, February 08, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdur Rasheed, has denounced the BJP MP and senior leader, Vinay Katiyar for his threats to the Indian Muslims. Vinay Katiyar had recently said, Muslims have no business to stay in India and that they should settle in Bangladesh or Pakistan.
Engineer Abdur Rasheed talking to various delegations in Srinagar said, such statements are vindication of two-nation theory and it is provocation due to communal speeches which make Kashmir dispute also more religious than political.
He said those discrediting Indian Muslims and asking them to prove their loyalty need not to forget the fact that Muslims have contributed more in the freedom struggle of India and there were renowned Muslim clerics, scholars and other revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India.
He said people like Vinay Katiyar everyday authenticate Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s words that “it may take centuries to Indian Muslim to prove their loyalty to Indian state”.
“If arguments of people like Vinay Katiyar are to be believed then what is wrong in seeking merger of Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan. It would be appreciable if Vinay Katiyar and likeminded people will ask New Delhi to give up its claim on Kashmir as it is a Muslim dominated territory and their place then happens to be only in Pakistan,” Engineer Rasheed added.
