Euro Surpasses 327 Mark, Pound Sterling Nears 373 in Open Market Trading

The open currency market on Tuesday witnessed significant values for major European currencies, with the Euro and the British Pound Sterling trading at high levels, according to figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan.

The Euro was quoted with a buying rate of 324.47 and a selling rate of 327.55. Concurrently, the Pound Sterling registered a buying value of 368.98 and a selling value of 372.95.

Meanwhile, the United States Dollar was valued in the open market at 281.32 for buying and 281.81 for selling. A distinct trading range was observed in the interbank market, where the greenback was traded between 280.77 and 280.97.

Among other key international currencies, the Japanese Yen was recorded with a buy-sell spread of 1.80 and 1.86.

Monetary units from the Middle East also featured prominently. The UAE Dirham was exchanged at 76.62 for buying and 77.40 for selling, while the Saudi Riyal”s trading range was documented at 74.94 on the buying side and 75.59 on the selling side.
