QUETTA: Former District Health Officer Dr Soomar Khan has been accused of illegally appointing 22 relatives in the health department in violation of merit and service rules, PPI learnt Wednesday.

Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, has sought a report from Chairman CMIT and Secretary Health Department about the appointment of 22 relatives by the ex-DHO Khuzdar in violation of merit.

The Chief Secretary Balochistan through a letter has taken a serious notice of the news about 22 illegal appointments in the health department by Dr Soomar Khan in violation of merit and service rules.

Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT), Abdul Saboor Kakar and Secretary, Health Department, Saleh Muhammad Nasar have been asked to look into the matter and submit a report along with recommendations to the office of Chief Secretary Balochistan not later than July 22, 2022.
